About Cork Opera House
Cork Opera House seeks to serve its city and surrounding region as a municipal theatre, offering its audiences a world class programme of events across all disciplines in the performing arts. It has been a Cork cultural institution for nearly 160 years and strives to present and produce both indigenous and international top class acts for the people of Cork and further afield.
What's Involved
'Sounds from a Safe Harbour' is a brand new festival of music, art and conversation, curated by Bryce Dessner of The National. Sounds from a Safe Harbour will bring a huge international creative cast to Cork this September to celebrate the port city’s place on the world’s stage. The festival will activate Cork City through many art forms including visual arts, conversation, dance, film and music.
Volunteers are required for the 4-day festival between Thursday 17th - Sunday 20th September, and can get involved in the following tasks:-
- Brochure and flier distribution
- Assisting with Box Office at events over the festival
- Gathering content for social media over the festival weekend
- Helping to steward at individual events
What's required for this position
To be friendly, well organised and have a good level of spoken english

- Event management/ Fundraising
- Personable Skills
Level of English required for this role:
