About Limerick Suicide Watch

We are a Limerick based suicide watch group who patrol between the four bridges in the Limerick city area. Our main focus is to keep eyes on the river, and identify and provide support to those in distress and maybe contemplating suicide. Our Patrols at present run on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9pm to 1am and Saturdays from 12am to 4am. With more volunteers onboard we hope to extend the services to every night of the week.

What's Involved

Volunteers are sought to join the team at Limerick Suicide Watch. Full intensive training will be provided and the initial role will be in observing with senior members. Volunteers are required to commit to go on patrol for 3 nights per month which includes 1 Saturday night in Limerick city. A patrol lasts for 4 hours and applicants must be over 25 years of age.

Fluent English
