About National Council For The Blind
The National Council For The Blind provides life changing, emotional and technical support to individuals with sight loss in the community. Funds of approx. €4 million need to raised each year in order to provide these services. This is carried out through Fundraising as well as Charity Shops.
The National Council for the Blind are looking to open a charity shop in Kilrush in order to generate funds to support people in the community.
This will be a very busy shop based in the heart of Kilrush town. The shop will be open from Monday to Saturday and they are currently looking for volunteers to take on a 2 hour shift any time between 9am to 5pm on any morning / afternoon.
There are many opportunities within the shop from sorting donations and recycling to manning the till and dealing with customer requests.
They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team and help with the following tasks:
Working on the shop floor and sorting room
Maintaining shop floor standards
Serving and interacting with customers
Hanging, tagging and steaming clothes
Creating window displays

What's required for this position
Good communication skills
