About National Council For The Blind - Clare
The National Council For The Blind provides life changing, emotional and technical support to individuals with sight loss in the community. Funds of approx. €4 million need to raised each year in order to provide these services. This is carried out through Fundraising as well as Charity Shops.
What's Involved
The National Council for the Blind have re opened their charity shop in Kilrush and are delighted to welcome everybody back. This shop is key to generating funds in order to support people in the community.
This is a very busy shop based in the heart of Kilrush town. The shop is open from Monday to Saturday and they are currently looking for volunteers to take on a 2 hour shift on any of the following days:- Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning or Saturday afternoon.
There are many opportunities within the shop from sorting donations and recycling to manning the till and dealing with customer requests.
They are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join the team and help with the following tasks:
Working on the shop floor and sorting room
Maintaining shop floor standards
Serving and interacting with customers
Hanging, tagging and steaming clothes
Creating window displays.
