What's Involved

The Clarecare Day-care centre in Cuan an Chlair Ennis is looking for volunteers to help with social engagement and inclusion of older people.
Cuan An Chláir daycentre operates from Monday to Friday from 10am - 3pm on the grounds of Cahercalla. This is an opportunity for older people to meet, socialise and participate in activities as well as availing of various services.

They are currently looking for a volunteer with the love of music and singing to engage with a group of up to 20 clients. This group have a great interest in music and would welcome a musician to engage with them on a Thursday from 11am to 1pm.

This role would run for a 6 week period and the type and style of music would need to be suitable for this particular generation.

The volunteer would be offered refreshments and would be fully supported at all times If you have a musical background and have the time to give 2 hours a week to this great group of people please contact Dolores on 065 68 45517

What's required for this position

The volunteer would need to be a musician and able to play and interact with a group. This person ideally will have good communication skills, have a caring nature and should have a natural ability to relate well with older people. They should also have an interest and empathy with people in their senior years. .

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Minimum time commitment: 3 months
