About Samaritans Clare Branch

The Samaritans offer emotional support for anyone experiencing feelings of despair or distress. They provide a safe space for a person to discuss their feelings and all conversations are confidential.

What's Involved

The Samaritans offer a free confidential helpline for people who are upset, troubled or feeling suicidal.

They are currenly looking for volunteers to join their Team which is based at their Centre in Ennis.
This role is for 3 hours a week on a rota basis and full training and induction is provided. Once a volunteer is trained it is hoped that they may be able to commit to 2 years.

They are holding an Information evening on the Tuesday 15th and Wednesday 16th of January 2019 in Ennis.

What's required for this position

Good Communication Skills.
Pleasant manner.
Interest in supporting people.
Be non judgemental.

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Hours required: 3hrs Weekly
