About Depaul
Depaul is a homeless charity providing accommodation and support through hostels and outreach services. Depaul believes that everyone should have a place to call home and a stake in their community. Our aim is to work with those who are socially excluded and marginalised by providing a quality led service in order to produce the best possible outcomes for those accessing our services. We work in partnership with central and local government, housing associations and other non-governmental organisations such as the society of St Vincent de Paul.
What's Involved
We are seeking Volunteers to provide social support through various activities, gardening, accompaniment's and general befriending.
The activities volunteers are engaging in will be wide ranging for example card games, snooker, arts & crafts, bingo etc.
Specific Befrienders also required for activities and accompaniments.
We are seeking Volunteers with the following Language's: Polish, Latvian, Romanian, however this is not compulsory.
What's required for this position
We are looking for volunteers who are empathetic, non-judgmental, can display flexibility, patience and supportive with the service users. You must have the ability to engage and motivate, confident in doing activities as well as accompaniment's.
Desirable:
We are seeking Volunteers with the following Language's: Polish, Latvian, Romanian, however this is not compulsory.

Level of English required for this role:
Intermediate English
