What's Involved
A volunteer is needed to assist a man who has a mild learning difficulty as well as a mental health difficulty to carry out his volunteering role at Monaghan United. He volunteers on a Tuesday morning and a Friday morning, helping to cut grass, light maintenance work and general tidying up. The volunteer's role would be to mentor him and be a buddy for him in his volunteering role.
What's required for this position
Understanding and patient person with good sense of humour required. Someone who likes working with people. Knowledge/experience of working with people with mental health difficulties beneficial but not essential.
Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Benefits you will receive as a volunteer
Volunteer would gain a sense of purpose knowing they had helped someone else to volunteer. Without their help this would not be possible. Volunteer would also have an enjoyable experience in a community-orientated soccer club.
