About Cork Pride Festival

Cork Pride is a non-profit organization, consisting of individuals interested in promoting positive images of gays, lesbians, bisexual and transgender people. Cork Pride Festivals Mission is to celebrate the diverse culture of Corks LGBT community, by providing the Cork community with various activities and functions to promote and engage in educational, civic and cultural activities in order to enrich the lives of LGBT people and the community as a whole, and to work together to achieve common goal. We work with both LGBT and non LGBT organizations from Cork to create a week which brings the whole community together.

What's Involved

Volunteers will play an integral part of Cork pride Festival again this year.

Cork Pride Festival is organised and run completely by volunteers with the assistance of Cork Volunteer Centre in 2019

The tasks we need volunteers to undertake will be;

Cork Pride Pop Up Shop
The Cork Pride Family Fun Day
Cork Pride Wellbeing Evening
Cork Pride: Welcome To The Community : Coming Out
GAZE Film Festival - Cinema Evening
Interactive LGBT+ History Walking Tour
Cork Pride - Voxpro BBQ
Cork Pride Village
Cork Pride Parade & Afterparty


Other tasks include - Assisting in Set Up, Stewarding, Collecting Litter, Looking after information stands and games, while ensuring everyone has a safe and happy pride.

FESTIVAL : July 27th - August 4th

What's required for this position

Volunteers do not need to have any particular skills but, need to be willing to fully participate in the events.

Level of English required for this role:
Basic English

Times and commitment required for this role
