Victim Support at Court or V-SAC is the only voluntary service in Ireland dedicated solely to court accompaniment for victims of crime, their families and witnesses. We are at the forefront of delivering a high quality court accompaniment service within the Irish judicial system.Our services are free and available to anyone who has been a victim of crime
What's Involved
We are seeking a volunteer to create fundraising opportunities for Victim Support at Court. The Volunteer Fundraising Assistant will be able to assist on a wide range of interesting fundraising projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a vibrant and innovative organisation and help bring much needed funds into the growing charity.
Main duties and responsibilities:
• Research and develop appropriate fundraising opportunities
• Assist with fundraising events
• Assist with donor database development
• Network within the community in implementing events
• Managing and updating social media
• Occasionally visit the Criminal Courts of Justice
• Work alongside the staff and volunteers to assist on a variety of projects
What's required for this position
Essential:
• Experience of working in the fundraising or voluntary sector
• Computer literate and familiar with using common Office programmes
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Ability to work in a systematic and methodical manner under own initiative
• Good attention to detail
• Friendly and approachable team player
• Commitment to withhold the integrity and standards of V-SAC and its values
• Proficient in the management of all social media
Desirable:
• An interest in supporting victims of all types of crime
• An interest in marketing, media, evaluation or office admin work

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English
