Carrickmacross Library offers a vibrant and friendly service to the community. The library offers a wide range of materials for borrowing and provides many other services to both regular library users and those passing through. There is an extensive selection of books, from best sellers and biographies, to travel guides, sports, DIY and gardening books. In addition the Library houses a suite of IT facilities including 16 desktop computers for public use, printing, scanning and photocopying facilities and Wi-Fi throughout.

What's Involved

Carrickmacross Library are seeking a volunteer computer tutor to give some basic IT classes over the summer. This is a small group of students who have little or no IT skills at present.
Classes will take place in the library using the library facilities.
This role might suit a student or someone with time to spare over the summer weeks.

What's required for this position

Volunteers should be confident in the use of mobile technology and computers. Patience and good communication skills are key to this role.

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Minimum time commitment: 1 month

Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
