About Friends of the Camac
Mission Statement: “Protecting, preserving and enhancing the Camac River in Clondalkin; its heritage, wildlife and ecosystem; for present and future generations.”
What's Involved
We organise monthly Community Clean-up Days on the River Camac in Clondalkin Village.
These are usually held on a Saturday (dates advised in adance). Meet 10am in the car park of Clondalkin Leisure Centre on Old Nangor Road.
Wear suitable clothing and footwear.
Gloves, pickers, hi-viz and litter bags will be provided.
Clean-up will usually take 1.5 to 2 hours. All welcome!
What's required for this position
We are looking for people to join a group of enthusiastic volunteers for a couple of hours to help us litter-pick, help us keep the river banks and environment green and beautiful.
If you are able to walk for a couple of hours, participate in the clean-up, and have a bit of craic please come along!
Children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
