About South West Inner City Network (SWICN)
South West Inner City Network (SWICN) is a community organization founded in 1994 and based in the inner city of Dublin. The aim of SWICN is to tackle poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement between Government and its agencies and people in disadvantaged communities.
What's Involved
We are currently looking for volunteers to support youth workers in non-formal learning group activities.
Duties:
● Engaging in informal learning group activities.
● Teaching music in an informal setting, supporting arts and technology programs.
● Home-work support (optional).
SWICN Clubhouse is a youth project based in Dublin’s inner city (D8).The aim of The Clubhouse is to support young people most at risk in their development, inclusion into society and equip them with 21st century learning and innovation skills.
What's required for this position
Volunteers with skills based around technology, sports, music, arts are desirable. A willingness to work with young people is a must. Previous experience is welcome but not required. Volunteers should be friendly, patient, flexible, and encouraging.
