Woodwork Facilitator

Depaul

About Depaul

Depaul is a homeless charity providing accommodation and support through hostels and outreach services. Depaul believes that everyone should have a place to call home and a stake in their community. Our aim is to work with those who are socially excluded and marginalised by providing a quality led service in order to produce the best possible outcomes for those accessing our services. We work in partnership with central and local government, housing associations and other non-governmental organisations such as the society of St Vincent de Paul.

What's Involved

Is woodworking your hobby? Could you teach someone the basic skills of the craft? We are looking for volunteers to work with service users one-to-one to develop skills in woodworking.

Depaul work with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We strive to provide support in all aspects of service users' lives while ensuring our services have a warm homely atmosphere. Making things is therapeutic and a common interest can help bring people together and combat isolation. By sharing your woodworking skills you could be introducing someone to a creative outlet that will stay with them for life. So if you enjoy woodwork and are willing to share your skills with our service users then we would love to hear from you.

Further information about volunteering with Depaul, including application forms, is available here.
