About Sligo Sports & Recreation Partnership
At Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership our aim is to support increased participation in sport and active recreation throughout County Sligo. In achieving this we provide assistance in the areas of sports development, education and training and general information on sporting activities in Sligo. We work in partnership with sporting clubs, community organisations and local and disability agencies in achieving our goal of having MORE PEOPLE, MORE ACTIVE, MORE OFTEN.

Would you like to get out for a gentle stroll on Thursday mornings? The Sligo East City Community Walking Group is an open group that anyone can join from about 10.15am to 12pm.
We need a volunteer to support a lady with Intellectual disabilities on these Thursday morning walks.
Your walking companion likes to walk slowly and will chat away at her own pace. The walks takes place at various locations around Sligo town incl Doorly Park, The Race Course, IT Sligo, Cleveragh Park, 5 Bridges.
The group meet for tea, coffee, scones after the walk at the Riverside Hotel for €2 per person. This is optional.
What's required for this position
Volunteer need to be kind, patient, happy to amble along slowly.
