About Society of St. Vincent de Paul - (SVP East Region)
Society of St. Vincent de Paul is one of the largest and longest established charities in Ireland. We provide both practical support and friendship to people in need, and are committed to identifying the root causes of poverty and social exclusion in Ireland, and advocating for a more just and caring society. During our history we have helped people in need through a Famine, a Civil War, a War of Independence, two World Wars and several economic recessions.
What's Involved
We are Ireland's largest voluntary organization and we really need your help – please join us and offer the Hand of Friendship to those less fortunate.
You will be visiting people in their homes with another volunteer, at their request. You meet with the person at their home to decide how best to assist the them / their family.
Full training will be given. You will be joining a great team of like-minded persons - who want to help those less fortunate.
We particularly need support at the moment in Dublin 5, 9 and 11 areas.
What's required for this position
All you need is: Just a listening ear, and the willingness to help.

Fluent English
