What's Involved

Monaghan Town's St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place at 3 pm on Sunday 17th March - St. Patrick's Day. Volunteer marshals are required to help the parade run safely and smoothly.

Volunteers will meet at 2 and will be finished around 4. Duties will include helping make sure the public stay behind the barriers and don't try to cross the road in front of the parade floats.

After the parade finishes volunteers can enjoy tea and sandwiches at the Westenra Hotel, as a thank you gesture from Monaghan County Council.

What's required for this position

Volunteers must be have fluent English and be able to communicate clearly with members of the public. They should be able to follow instructions and work as part of a team and be confident enough to give instructions to members of the public.

Closing time for applications 12.30 Friday 15th March.
