We are a voluntary organisation who believe everyone should have the means to live life with dignity. SVP provide help to people, whoever they are, wherever they are from, whatever their religion or beliefs. Our core activity involves visiting people in their homes. Our work is to connect, support and serve people with kindness, courtesy, respect and acceptance of the person we visit and confidentiality. To do this work we have strict procedures some of which include, Garda vetting, training, membership id etc

What's Involved

1. Helping those in need as part of a local group called a SVP Conference 2. Visiting families or individuals in need of befriending and/or financial support 3. Some administrative tasks as required

Minimum time commitment: 6 months

Hours required: 1hrs Weekly

Various locations within Sligo Town and county

Other location details:
Different conference areas within Sligo town and throughout County Sligo including Grange, Strandhill, Riverstown, Tubbercurry, Ballymote, Ballisodare and Collooney.
