What's Involved

Do you have a passion for cooking and would like to support young people in the community?

The chef / cook prepares meals for young people aged 10 - 12 years who engage in drop-ins in our centre. You would arrive and prep at 14:00pm, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Staff will have all materials needed to ensure you’re properly equipped and ready to go. You will use your own initiative and cook what you think is best. Supervision is also available for volunteers, as you may be engaging with young people.

What's required for this position

• An interest in working with young people
• Some experience in cooking and feel confident in the kitchen
• Long term commitment for one year is ideal, however short-term volunteers are also welcome
• Garda vetting is also required
• We understand that the time you give up to volunteer is invaluable, but you will also have to be mindful of the young people you work with. We would ask for a strong commitment from our volunteers to be consistent when working with young people
