About Truagh Development Association

Truagh Development Association (TDA) is a not for profit company limited by guarantee and was incorporated in 1991. It was set up to implement activities which would benefit the community and environs of the wider Truagh, Blackwater Valley, Sliabh Beagh and north Monaghan area.
The organisation works through a Board of Management which meets monthly and operates with a number of sub-groups. TDA is based at Blackwater Valley Lifelong Learning, Cultural, Heritage, ICT and Peace Centre and Errigal Heritage Centre and offers a wide ranges of services to the community through the Community Services Programme.
We are registered with the Charities Regulatory Authority.

What's Involved

Our volunteers will provide transport for older people in Truagh and the wider north Monaghan area. The transport service will involve collecting the older people from their homes and bringing them to the weekly social dinner and dance event at the Blackwater Centre, Knockconan, Emyvale, and bringing them home after the event

The volunteer is invited to enjoy the three course meals, dance and entertainment with us.

We will cover mileage expenses associated with the service.

What's required for this position

Must have full driving licence and own car.

Must be friendly, sociable and patient and enjoy meeting new people.
