About Kilbarrack Community Development Project
The Kilbarrack Community Development Project CLG (KCDP) operates an after-school program to local children. The KCDP provides a safe and inclusive environment where children are supported in their holistic development through play, choice-based programming and encouraged to have fun. Daily programs include homework support, physical activity, arts, crafts, computers and free play.
What's Involved
Take a leadership role in a community based organisation, to embrace an opportunity that will be a valuable and an impactful experience that will contribute to the children in the Kilbarrack community.
We are currently refreshing our board and are seeking to recruit new board members with experience in finances and human resources.
Purpose of the Role:
To provide leadership and governance to the KCDP as part of a Board of Management team. To work with management and the financial administrator to ensure the organisation operates strategically and purposely in accordance with best practice. To contribute to maintaining an essential community service.
Expectations & Commitment
• Work with other board members in a collaborative respective way,
• Achieve a high level of corporate governance
• Act in the best interests of the KCDP
• Attend bi-monthly meetings (meeting times to be determined)
• Assist with any aspects of the KCDP as needed
What's required for this position
Experience in finance, human resources, leadership or governance.
We would welcome people who live in the local area and have an interest in developing their community.
