Crosscare is the social care agency of the Dublin Archdiocese delivering services to those who need them most within the greater Dublin area, working to relieve poverty and serve the needs of the poor and marginalised in the Archdiocese of Dublin. We offer a range of programmes based on innovative approaches to meet new and emerging needs for those affected by homelessness, the needs of young people, and the development of community driven services.

What's Involved

Are you outgoing and chatty and have Sunday afternoons free? Crosscare family hub are looking for a volunteer to be at the heart of our service. Tasks will include:

• To provide a warm welcome as people come into reception
• To ensure Reception is covered at all times and is kept tidy
• To permit entry to the building and ensure all visitors sign in & out
• To welcome the person, introduce yourself and ask how you may help
• To inform staff of visitors who have an appointment or direct groups to assigned room.
• To take and transfer phone calls to relevant staff members

What's required for this position

• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills. We are looking for friendly outgoing volunteers who will give visitors a warm welcome
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Volunteers who are non-judgmental and who can be patient, flexible and supportive with our families and visitor in a busy environment

  • General Admin/ Office Support
  • Phone Support/ Information Giver

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Times and commitment required for this role
