Fingal International Festival of Voices

About Fingal International Festival of Voices

We are a new festival in Balbriggan bringing singing, storytelling and folk music to the town. The festival is focused on celebrating diversity and will provide a platform for individuals and communities to showcase their culture in locations across Balbriggan and the surrounding areas. Over 50 Choirs from across Ireland and around the world will come to Balbriggan to sing in competitions and performances all around the town of Balbriggan. Workshops and classes on singing, folk-music and story-telling will be available to anyone attending the festival and will be led by our national and international guests.

Across the weekend of the festival, there will also be events, activities and shows for all the family, including fun and food at the festival pavilion. Candlelit tales will breathe new life into Irish myths and legends at evening shows in St George's church, and our younger visitors can make archaeological discoveries at The Big Dig.

What's Involved

Fingal International Festival of Voices is a new festival of choirs, folk music, storytelling and song happening in Balbriggan from the 12th to the 15th of March 2020 .

We have 56 choirs from across Ireland and around the world coming to Balbriggan to enjoy a weekend of concerts, competitions and workshops.

We are looking for general volunteers for Friday 13th and Saturday 14th of March to help with the running of the festival.
Helping out at the competition venues, being guides around the town for one of our 56 choirs, welcoming visitors at the train station or helping out at the festival Marquee, there will be plenty to keep our volunteers busy.
