About Cahans Project
The Cahans (cross community) Project Committee has worked for more than 10 years to secure funding to renovate and develop the 1840 Cahans church building and site to give it a new future. A variety of uses have been identified by the Committee. These include a meeting place for the local community and the descendants of former Cahans people who are scattered over the world.

What's Involved
The purpose of the role is to assist in the day to day running of the Cahans Charity shop.
Main Activities/ Tasks:
•To assist and serve customers, providing a service of the highest standard.
•To assist with processing stock, including sorting, steaming, pricing and hanging of donated items.
•To be involved with the till operation and the handling of cash (although this is not a necessary requirement).
•To promote public understanding of the work the Cahans project and the importance of raising funds through the shop.
What's required for this position
Good communication and customer care service skills are essential to fulfil this role. Being able to work as part of a team environment and with the general public is essential.
