About Irish Wheelchair Association- Sligo Branch
Irish Wheelchair Association (IWA) is one of Ireland's leading social enterprises and representative organisations for people with physical disabilities.
We provide a range of services intended to support independent living and improve quality of life. The largest of our services is our Assisted Living Service (ALS), which provides one-to-one support of a personal assistant to an individual in their home, workplace, school/college or local community.
Other services include:
Resource and Outreach Centres in local communities;
Driving assessment, tuition and advice;
Plus a range of educational opportunities, information, housing supports and youth services.
IWA operates from every county in Ireland. Our Sligo base is next to St. Anne's church (beside Aldi & the Firestation).
We have a number of services users who would love to learn the art of flower arranging and even some basic gardening skills such as making up window boxes and/or hanging baskets.
We are looking for volunteers to facilitate and run sessions in this at our IWA centre in Abbeyville, Sligo.
