About Cat's Aid
Cat's Aid aims to :
- Rescue, rehabilitate & find good homes for unwanted cats on the explicit understanding that no health-recoverable cat taken in by Cats' Aid will be destroyed.
- Establish of a permanent shelter/sanctuary for cats.
- Educate the general public in the care of cats with particular emphasis on the importance of spaying & neutering.
We are looking for people who would love to care for a cat or kitten, but for one reason or another, find they are unable to have one permanently, i.e. somone who might have to travel occasionally or an older person who cannot take on the full-time responsibility. There are various caring people out there who are simply not in a position to have the full-time commitment, but have so much to offer a temporary lost soul.
We are also looking for those people who may have their own animals, but they feel they have more time to offer others in need. Maybe they have a comfortable, warm and safe spare room, if their own animals could not cope with the constant contact.
*Our foster parents provide temporary care for cats and kittens in their homes until they can be adopted. Their compassion provides the second chance that so many stray, abandoned or homeless cats and kitties need, and the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped save the lives of these helpless animals.
*As spaces are limited, we need to find temporary foster carers. Our resources are stretched to the limit. Full help and backup is given. All veterinary costs covered.
*Please note if you foster a cat it will need to be kept indoors for the duration of the foster period and a home check will be carried out before fostering begins.
