South West Inner City Network (SWICN) is a community organization founded in 1994 and based in the inner city of Dublin. The aim of SWICN is to tackle poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement between Government and its agencies and people in disadvantaged communities.

What's Involved

We are currently looking for volunteers to provide language support as English class tutors in our Fáilte Isteach project, every Thursday 7 - 9pm.

1. Participating in an induction.
2. Delivering informal language lessons to individuals from new communities for 2 hours a week.
3. Be welcoming, friendly and patient.

What's required for this position

No professional qualifications in teaching or tutoring required.
Assistance with using a weekly lesson plan will be given.

Level of English required for this role:
Fluent English

Times and commitment required for this role


Minimum time commitment: 6 months

Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
