South West Inner City Network (SWICN) is a community organization founded in 1994 and based in the inner city of Dublin. The aim of SWICN is to tackle poverty and social exclusion through partnership and constructive engagement between Government and its agencies and people in disadvantaged communities.
We are currently looking for volunteers to provide adult language support as an English Conversational class tutor in our Fáilte Isteach project. Commitment: The classes take place in our centre on Wednesday and Thursday 7-8.30pm and Fri 10-11am. Tutor will work with a small group of participants (up to 6). Commitment required only for one day (1.5 hours). Responsibilities:
No professional qualifications in teaching or tutoring required. Assistance with using a weekly lesson plan will be given. .
Level of English required for this role:Fluent English
Minimum time commitment: 6 months
Hours required: 2hrs Weekly
