What's Involved
Volunteers required to assist adults with their literacy skills.
The role involves providing functional literacy education to adults with very basic literacy skills.
Some of our clients have learning blocks. Longford/ Westmeath ETB aims to provide each learner with an individualized learning programme leading to improvements in self esteem and educational attainment.
Training will be delivered in September 2019 and there will be further meetings/in-service afterwards.
Weekly commitment generally amounts to about 1.5 hours.
