About Dublin Local Group
The Dublin Local Group provides a much needed community service in the Dublin area by painting and decorating the homes of people whose standard of living has fallen below the norm and who are financially or physically unable to carry out the work themselves.
What's Involved
Would you like to get more involved in your local community?
Our work is done on Saturday mornings from 9.30am to 1pm. It involves some preparatory cleaning and the painting of ceilings, walls and woodworks.
Length of time required: 3.5 hours fortnightly, on 2 Saturday mornings per month.

What's required for this position
* Some experience in painting/decorating and small household repairs welcome but not mandatory
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Good time keeping
* Be respectful of volunteers, clients and their homes

Getting there
Most jobs take place within the Dublin City catchment area. Volunteers with transportation can go directly, those without can avail of a lift from city centre whenever necessary.
