NCBI, the national sight loss agency, is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss. We also provide a range of services to public and private organisations to make sure that their services are accessible to people who are blind and vision impaired.

What's Involved

This is a really exciting opportunity to get involved with the running of a busy retail shop. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help with:
1. Working on the shop floor and sorting room
2. Maintaining shop floor standards
3. Serving and interacting with customers
4. Organising and cleaning the stock for sale in the shop
5. Creating window displays

Facemasks, gloves, hand sanitizer will be available for all volunteers. All staff, volunteers and customers will be maintain a minimum of 2 meter distance from each other. Any staff wearing gloves will be changing them as they complete each task and hand washing will be required at least once an hour. Time Commitment
If you are interested, you will be able to discuss times mutually suitable for you to work. Shifts are normally three hours morning or afternoon, but even less time can be a big help. The manager will give you a simple form to fill and you will work either with her or with an experienced volunteer for three shifts. If you are happy to continue, you will be signed in as a volunteer.

What's required for this position

Reliable, punctual person with good organisational and communication skills.
