About Oesophageal Cancer Fund
The Oesophageal Cancer Fund (OCF) is the national charity for Oesophageal Cancer in Ireland, focused on bringing the good fight to a bad cancer. We are passionately committed to improving experiences and outcomes for those affected by Oesophageal Cancer and aim to do so by providing dedicated support, raising awareness and engaging in research to advance early detection, prevention and successful treatments for Oesophageal Cancer.
What's Involved
Make a difference and raise awareness of Oesophageal Cancer.
Join our team of volunteers on Lollipop Day 27th / 28th February 2015 and sell lollipops / pins and raise awareness of OC in a busy centre in your locality.
Most of our volunteers help us with our annual awareness and fundraising appeal Lollipop Day but there are lots of other opportunities around the year to get involved with.
Volunteers will be given key facts on Oesophageal cancer, an explanation of where the money is spent, as well as tips for collecting. They will also be introduced to the local Area Organiser.
What's required for this position
A pleasant and polite manner.
A few hours of your time.
A good level of English.
A belief that you can make a real difference to people with OC in Ireland.

Location of volunteering opportunity:
Nationwide campaign and we will endeavor to place volunteers in their local supermarkets and shopping centres. And easily accessible by public transport.
