St Christopher's Services provides a person centred, comprehensive, efficient and innovative service to people with intellectual disabilities. It is a high quality, community-based service, based on identified individualised needs, enabling service users to reach their fullest potential.

What's Involved

Volunteers aged between 16-19 years of age required to attend social activities in a group setting with people of the same age who have an intellectual disability.

Groups are fully supervised by Group Leaders. Volunteers are notified in advance of activities taking place and outings generally take place once a month on a weekend day.

You are not required to have any health or social care experience or qualifications, although it can be beneficial to your role. Full training is provided.

What's required for this position

Volunteers need to have a caring nature, be patient and reliable. The volunteer needs to be able to make a commitment to attend group activities.

Intermediate English
