2. Developing members' social skills, self-esteem and quality of life through a dynamic range of activities.
3. Providing support, information and respite for parents and families.
4. Influencing public policy towards those with special needs through contact with statutory agencies.

What's Involved

We are a Club for people with an Intellectual Disability and are affiliated to the National Federation of ARCH Clubs. Our main task is befriending and listening to our members, most of whom live in the locality, attend services during the day, and have been in the Club for a long time.

About 40 members attend our Disco & Karaoke on a Thursday evening (7.15-9.30). About 30 members attend our Sunday Club (2.30-5.30) in a relaxed atmosphere. We also organise external activities on a regular basis, such as Croke Park, Weekends Away.

We are especially looking for volunteers for both Sunday afternoons & Thursday evenings. You will work with a team of 20 adult volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. You will attend a short after-club meeting, and a general bi-monthly meeting (and social event) on a weekend evening. Regular attendance is encouraged.
