The Five Lamps Arts Festival is an initiative of Marino College of Further Education. It was set up in 2007 as an arts led festival in the area around the five lamps in the north innner city. Events include opera, theatre, music, community arts events, historial walks etc

What's Involved

The Five Lamps Arts Festival: 11th April - 20th April 2024

Do you love festivals? Enjoy participating in the arts? Then we have just the experience for you... Dublin's most diverse arts festival, The Five Lamps Arts Festival, based in the heart of Dublin City, is now looking for volunteers to help out at various events including exhibitions, workshops, concerts, plays, and more!

Whether you have a couple of hours to spare for one event or you'd like to volunteer at several, we'd love to hear from you!

Role:
The volunteer will be part of a team that engages visitors in the Festival vibe, meets the public, greets audiences at venues, and welcomes our visitors. Duties may include:

  • Assisting other invigilators at exhibitions and front-of-house
  • Ticketing
  • Setting up and taking down event spaces
  • Answering attendee queries
  • Stewarding
  • Ushering
  • Collecting feedback at events
  • Attending events
  • General admin

    What's required for this position

    The volunteer should be able to work with people and be friendly and organised and flexible about what jobs they will do

    • Arts/ Music/ Drama
    • Event management/ Fundraising

    Level of English required for this role:
    Basic English

    Hours required: 5hrs Weekly
