About Fleadh Cheoil na HEireann Sligeach 2015 & 2014
Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann will return to Sligo between 9th-16th August 2015. The Fleadh Cheoil is the world’s biggest and best traditional Irish music festival, building on last years Fleadh in 2014.
Sligo is located in the north west of Ireland and is famous for its beauty, heritage and culture. We welcome visitors to come and sample each of these during what will be a wonderful celebration of music, fun filled days and family events in August.
We recognise that the generous community spirit of County Sligo will be pivotal in ensuring the success of the Fleadh. Our team of volunteers is busy planning a whole series of events – many of them free – to entertain the many thousands of visitors that will descend on Sligo.
What's Involved
Join our volunteer team for every can counts on Friday 14th or Sat 15th or Sunday 16th Aug 2015. Volunteers will be asked to collect aluminum drinks cans and make sure cans are segregated from other types of waste and disposed in specially located bins throughout Sligo. Barna Waste is providing for cans only- with ‘Every Can Counts’ clearly marked on all bins.
