About Society of St. Vincent de Paul - (SVP East Region)
Society of St. Vincent de Paul is one of the largest and longest established charities in Ireland. We provide both practical support and friendship to people in need, and are committed to identifying the root causes of poverty and social exclusion in Ireland, and advocating for a more just and caring society. During our history we have helped people in need through a Famine, a Civil War, a War of Independence, two World Wars and several economic recessions.
What's Involved
The Society of St Vincent de Paul exists to fight poverty and its efforts to do so depend almost entirely on volunteers. The East Region consisting of Dublin, Wicklow and Kildare has roughly 6000 but it needs more.

• Home Visitation
• Hospital Visitation
• Sunshine House for kids

The society of St Vincent de Paul is the oldest and largest, voluntary, charitable organisation in Ireland. The Society is a volunteer organisation that is always in need of volunteers. The work is challenging but very rewarding.
