What's Involved

The Liberties Festival, run by SICCDA in collaboration with Cuckoo Events, is one of Ireland’s oldest festivals. From modest beginnings in 1970 it has grown to become a highlight of the summer in Dublin with a series of family-friendly, sporting and community events, and an exciting multi-cultural and arts programme encompassing visual art, film, dance, comedy, literature and music.

The Liberties Festival is scheduled to take place from 17-21 July 2019. It is super super important that we get the word out there and let the public know what delights lie ahead! We will need all hands on deck when it comes to delivering Liberties Festival Schedules around the Dublin 8 area.

We would love to recruit some volunteers to put them in shops/ eateries/ local businesses (with permission from owner/managers) and in people's letterboxes. We're doing this on an absolute shoestring and have no money to pay for any of this. Staff here at SICCDA will be out every day doing as much of it as possible, but we will really need to get more out there. Can you help? Even an hour a day would be hugely helpful to us.
