Race Stewards – Simon Home Run 7th March

Dublin Simon Community

About Dublin Simon Community

Dublin Simon Community works to prevent and address homelessness in Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. We provide services at all stages of homelessness and enable people to move to a place they can call home.

What's Involved

The Dublin Simon Home Run recruits up to 100 race steward volunteers to ensure the safe and smooth running of the 5 Mile route. For the duration of the race, roads are closed and parking is prohibited on the race route and roads that merge with the route.

Stewards are a vital function as they ensure the safety of participants and provide information to members of the public using the Phoenix Park. The Home Run has 6 junctions that will need a team of 10-15 steward volunteers per junction. Each team of stewards will have a junction leader who will be responsible for coordinating stewards in the junction. Full instructions will be provided closer to the day.

Groups are welcome, and we’ll always try to place you with a friend if you both sign up.
