Little Flower Penny Dinners has a proud history of serving those in need in the Liberties since its foundation in 1912. Our committed team of staff and volunteers offer a warm friendly welcome to all our clients. Funded by donations from the public, we ensure that all donations are used to develop and improve our overall service. We serve 72,000 Meals annually.

What's Involved

The Little Flower delivers 100 meals per day to the housebound in areas close to our premises on Meath Street Dublin 8.

The deliveries are split between two drivers. The drivers volunteer 1-2 mornings per week. They will be required to drive our van on a delivery route and with an assistant deliver meals to the home of our clients. The clients make a small payment for the meals the driver will be required to collect and record that payment.

What's required for this position

The essential skill is being able to drive and have a clean driving licence. Drivers should be personable and enjoy dealing with people. A reasonable level of fitness is needed as some of the deliveries require climbing stairs.

Getting there
