About Sligo Volunteer Centre
We help people who want to volunteer as well as non-profit groups who need volunteers.
For non-profit groups we provide one-to-one support on all aspects of how to find and keep good volunteers. We run training courses and workshops, facilitate a quarterly Volunteer Manager's Forum and provide a Garda Vetting service. We also advertise group's volunteer vacancies and refer potential volunteers to them for selection.
For the general public who are thinking of volunteering, we provide a database of current options available in Sligo (and nationwide). We also provide group workshops and one-to-one guidance to help people find satisfying and rewarding volunteering roles.

We are inviting people to join Sligo Volunteers Centre's Choir which will be nurtured and coached by Niamh Crowley, one of the Hawk's Well Theatre Choirmasters. The choir will be performing as part of 'Sligo Sings' in the Hawk's Well on Saturday November 25th, all singers must be available for this date!
Practice will be one hour a week, Monday lunchtimes, 1-2pm in Sligo Presbyterian Hall, Church St. from 25th Sept - 20th November. It is essential you can make the vast majority of the practices and be available all day on Sat 25th Nov as there will be rehearsals during the day, with the show starting at 8pm.
Each choir will perform an individual contemporary song and then all will join together for the finale song as one major Sligo Sings choir. You do not need any singing experience and there is no audition! To cover costs, the Hawk's Well are charging €10 per choir member to join.
If you would like to join our choir, please click 'Apply Now' or phone us on 071-9111042.
We are especially welcoming of new male members, and of people who volunteer or work in the community/voluntary sector, but anyone over 18 is welcome to join.
