About Depaul
Depaul is a homeless charity providing accommodation and support through hostels and outreach services. Depaul believes that everyone should have a place to call home and a stake in their community. Our aim is to work with those who are socially excluded and marginalised by providing a quality led service in order to produce the best possible outcomes for those accessing our services. We work in partnership with central and local government, housing associations and other non-governmental organisations such as the society of St Vincent de Paul.
What's Involved
We are seeking Volunteers to provide social support through Drumming lessons with service user/s and encourage singalong separately where planned with the onsite management team.
We are looking for volunteers who have experience or want to get experience in a homeless setting encouraging sing along sessions once a month or if you have more availability we can potentially have you support other services across Dublin.
If you have tribal drumming experience we have a service user that is really focused on getting to know how to do this activity.
Depaul works with people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. We strive to provide support in all aspects of service users' lives while ensuring our services have a warm homely atmosphere. It's always pleasant to be part of a good sing along or to sit and listen to someone play a musical instrument or to enjoy listening to a record. Music can provide a great opportunity for people to relax and enjoy spending time together. So if you enjoy music and are willing to encourage service users to engage in music then we would love to hear from you.
