About Sligo International Choral Festival
Sligo International Choral Festival provides a wonderful occasion for visiting choirs to experience the vibrant community spirit underpinning the programme and festival events. We promote choral singing/festival events and provide competitions and workshops for choirs and junior choirs. Now in its 28th year we are confident that the annual International Choral Festival in Sligo is recognised as a flagship cultural event.

You can volunteer for just one day or both days. We are flexible!
Friday, 17th November - Gala Concert (5pm-11pm)
Saturday, 18th November - Acapella in the City (9am-1pm; and/or 2pm-6pm; and/or 7-11pm)
You will be assigned to one of the following areas depending on which day you can volunteer and what you're interested in:
1 - Event stewarding
2 - Car park supervision and direction
3 - Welcoming choirs
4 - Recording data
5 - Hospitality, Meet & Greet
6 - Photography and video recording of events
7 - Guiding choirs around Sligo (i.e. to and from different locations around town)
8 - Ticketing and programme selling
9 - Registration desk supervision
10 - Venue set up

What's required for this position
A pleasant and welcoming demeanour. Knowledge of Sligo town and surrounding areas. Comfortable with hosting roles and taking direction. Team worker and good organisation skills.

Volunteers will be placed according to the day they can volunteer and what role they choose to do. Locations includes: Gillooly Hall and Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Temple Street, Sligo; Knocknarea Arena, IT Sligo, Ash Lane, Sligo

Knocknarea Arena, Sligo; Gillooly Hall, Sligo; Sligo Cathedral; Quayside Shopping Centre; Johnston Court Shopping Centre.
