What's Involved

Are you looking to expand your network and progress your career? Do you have a couple of hours to spare a week and would like to help in the development of a valuable community resource?

As a member of our Board you will gain valuable personal and professional experience. You will be involved in:

  • making decisions for members
  • approving loans
  • new members marketing and promoting
  • being involved in local schools poster competitions and the youth in our area.
  • Financial decisions in relation to investments for the credit union
  • corporate governance being compliant with central bank regulations and recent legislation changes also taking decisions about our risk profile.

    What's required for this position

    Please note: You must be a member of the credit union and either live or work in our common bond area - Dublin 11.

    Interested in giving something back to your community.

    Training will be given. We are looking for volunteers that may have served on a Board or new Volunteers we will train.

    Skills we are seeking are; Risk Management, Compliance , Strategic Decision Making, Budgets and financial forcasting, Marketing and Technology.

    You should be available for at least 15 to 20 hours per month. You will be attending a monthly board meeting and also be active on a sub committee.
