What's Involved
We are inviting applications to join the board of Finglas Credit Union from people who have an understanding of our Finglas community and its needs.
As a Volunteer Director you will be involved in the leadership and governance of the credit union and share our passion for the cause of credit unions.
Purpose of this Role:
As a member of our Board you will gain valuable personal and professional experience. You will be involved in:
Making decisions for members
Financial decisions in relation to investments for the credit union
Corporate governance being compliant with central bank regulations and recent legislation changes also taking decisions about our risk profile.
Time Commitment:
Around 15 hours per month to help our credit union continue to grow and prosper.
Full Training and mentoring is provided
Please note:
Volunteer must be a member of the credit union and either live or work in their common bond area - Dublin 11.
What's required for this position
We are looking for a broad range of skills and talents from people willing to commit enthusiasm, energy and time of around 15 hours per month to help our credit union continue to grow and prosper. We want our board to reflect our membership with a mix of both professional and committed non-professional people, all of whom are team players, willing to listen and give thoughtful consideration to issues.
