About 1st Port of Dublin Sea Scouts (Ringsend)

1st Port of Dublin Sea Scouts has a long history which traces back to the first Scout meeting in Ireland in 1908.Its aim is to encourage the personal development of young people so that they may become active citizens and contribute to their communities. It does this using water safety and a nautical environment to offer opportunities for fun, friendship and challenge. We seek enable young people to make friends, develop leadership skills for life, and build resilience.

What's Involved

The volunteer will help to run weekly meetings and occasional day trips of young people age 8-10. You will help them to learn about water safety, outdoor skills and take them on basic hiking and camping trips.

What's required for this position

Prospective leaders will be interested in encouraging young people to fill their potential. They will also help to prepare weekly activities and day trips.
