About Northside Home Care Services

Northside Home Care Services (formerly KARE Social Services) is a charitable organisation which was founded in 1965 by volunteers. Today we provide Home Help, Meals on Wheels, Citizens Information and a Community Minibus service. Our Meals on Wheels kitchen also provides a dinner to residents and locals in one of our sheltered Dublin City Council accommodation kitchens.
Our Mission Statement is to ‘Support and improve quality of life by enabling older people to live independently at home’.

What's Involved

Are you available one day a week for 2 hours Monday- Friday to help serve hot, tasty nutritious food in one of our community kitchens in the Raheny/Artane area?

The role will include assisting in plating up meals or serving meals in our community rooms, you will enjoy the rewarding opportunity and get to meet new people.

Experience would be ideal but not a requirement, full training will be given and great support from our office staff.

Northside Home Care Services has 6 community kitchens in the local area as well as a meals on wheels service and provides nutritious meals to clients in their own homes and clients who enjoy the company of others while they have dinner.

What's required for this position

All you need is one or two hours to spare, a smiley happy friendly disposition, be willing to serve older people their food in a warm caring friendly environment. HACCP training will be provided.
