About Dublin Simon Community
Dublin Simon Community works to prevent and address homelessness in Dublin, Kildare, Wicklow, Meath, Louth, Cavan and Monaghan. We provide services at all stages of homelessness and enable people to move to a place they can call home.
What's Involved
The Quality & Practice Office is made up of the Quality, Practice Development and Reporting functions.
• Quality
Ensure the organisation adheres to statutory and non statutory standards and delivers consistent and effective services to clients.
• Management Information Systems
Dublin Simon Community aims to improve the capacity of its staff to deliver safe, effective and person-centred services to those that use them. This is done by monitoring performance and trends, as well as keeping abreast of best practice measures.
• Reporting
Collect, collate and analyse data to monitor and track service performance and outcomes for clients.
Core Role Requirements
• Support Quality projects. This could include policy review, internal audit, group facilitation and applying quality standards in practice.
• To participate in audits where appropriate and ensure accurate records are kept on any audit processes and results of same.
• Collecting, collating, verifying and analysing data from services and compiling quarterly/annual reports for management.
• Minute taking and general office support duties.
• Proactively learning about Dublin Simon Community and the services provided to contribute to understanding Quality & Practice Office projects and for own personal development.
Time Commitment: 35 hours a week is required, for one year

Essential:
• Proven experience of MS Excel and MS Word.
• Effective team working
• Ability to demonstrate Initiative and responsibility
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Attention to detail
Desirable:
• Third level qualification in a relevant discipline
• Knowledge/interest of social sciences/non for profit sector.
• Numerical aptitude
• Research skills
• Experience of working in an administration/customer service role.
