About An Táin Arts Centre

An Táin Arts Centre is the new independent arts spa ce for Dundalk, Co. Louth based in the former Táin theatre, Town Hall, Crowe Street. The centre houses a 360 seat theatre, a 55 seat studio, a visual arts g allery and several workshop spaces. An Táin Arts Centre is the point of access to arts and culture for the people of North Louth, providing a diverse programme of local arts, national tours, workshops, visual arts and in-house productions.

What's Involved

For events volunteers will be required to take tickets and direct people attending the show to their seats. Volunteers must be well groomed as they are front of house and must wear black. Once the show starts, volunteers can be seated and watch the show and at the interval stand and answer queries from customers (directions to toilets etc) then be seated again for the second act. For the gallery, volunteers will be involved in installation of exhibitions, meeting the public, giving information. Gallery is open from 10-4 daily. Full training will be provided.
