About Conna Day Care Centre
Conna Day Care Centre is a service ran by the Alzheimer Society of Ireland, the leading provider of dementia-specific services in Ireland. Their services provide person centred support and care, the person with dementia and their family are placed at the centre of the service so that they are actively involved in making decisions.
What's Involved
This Day Care Centre would like to brighten up their front and back garden areas for the elderly service users they support. The Centre has large plant pots which need a variety of different plants, flowers, shrubs and most importantly, colour!.
They are looking for a volunteer who has a good knowledge of plants and shrubs, and can advise on what to plant and when! The volunteer can be a keen home gardener who can advise the Nurse Manager, together with a breakdown of the costs of purchasing.
The volunteer is required to help (on Wednesdays or Fridays) with the gardening.

A keen home gardener with good knowledge of planting in terms of what goes with what, what to plant and when etc.
