About Finglas Addiction Support Team (FAST)
FAST is a community based initiative providing information, support and counselling for those affected by drug and alcohol misuse. Through fostering belief in the person’s potential for change and focusing on the value they have as people, we have witnessed individuals emerging from isolation and despair into able, confident people realising their ability to participate in their families and their communities.
What's Involved
FAST continuously strive to develop our service in different ways and lead the way is addiction treatment. We want people with mental health and addiction issues to get the right kind of treatment when they initially present, meeting expectations of our participants requires a responsive service where every engagement counts towards a meaningful individul.
Holistic approach for supporting clients of FAST with their substance misuse; holistic massage, Indian head or another, sports massage, reki, meditation etc.
FAST work with adult people with addiction and mental health issues. Holistic services are provided in group and one to one sessions.
What's required for this position
The person must have a qualification in holistic work and interest in working with people who are in recovery from mental health and substance use disorders.
