About Aware
Aware is the national organisation providing free support, education and information services to those impacted by anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder and related mood conditions.
What's Involved
We are looking for volunteers for Aware's Harbour2Harbour walk on St. Patrick's day. Every year the participants walk 16-miles route from Dun Laoghaire Harbour to Howth Harbour or vice versa, combining fitness with fun while raising much needed funds for Aware's depression support. We would need people for the following tasks:
1. Marshal the route – 10am – 1pm/ 1pm -4pm
This would involve encouraging and directing participants on the walking route and ensuring participants cross roads safely.
2. Registration (Dun Laoghaire & Howth) – 9am – 12pm/ 2.30pm-5pm
This would involve handing out t-shirts and maps to pre-registered participants, registering new participants on the morning.
3. Halfway Point stewards (Berth 18, Dublin Port – opposite the 3Arena)
Setting up the halfway point. This would involve managing the water station, helping to serve tea/coffee and sandwiches to participants, clean up etc.
